Silence & Support for Sandy Hook

I feel like there are a million words I could say about this tragedy, yet I feel like there are zero words that will express how I feel. I am so heart broken for those children, their families, the town, all the responders on scene.. I can't even imagine how many heart broken people are in this world right now. All because one individual decided to take the lives of children who didn't even get a chance. Sweet, innocent children, it was their first year of school, most of them anyways, I can't even imagine..
I pray that God reaches down to these individuals and comforts them in their time of need. I hope people realize now how terrible it is that God is missing from our schools, from our governments, from our money, from everything broken- God is what is missing. The more we allow God to be taken out of the things that surround our lives, the more hatred will come. We turn our back on him every day and yet always expect him to have ours when its convenient. He will. He always will. But talk to him. Talk to him while youre laying in bed not able to sleep because of this tragedy. I know if you're like me you want to know why. Why would he let this happen? Why beautiful little babies? Why this close to Christmas? He has the answers. He always has the answers. They are all in his plan. Trust in him, cry to him, put all your faith in him. He will comfort you if you allow him.
Pray for those asking why. Pray that they seek answers in God instead of blaming him.
It is a tragedy those precious children had their lives taken from them. I literally feel sick just thinking about it.
When you start to feel sick, pray, when you start to feel sad, pray harder.
You may feel useless, like there is nothing you can do to help Sandy Hook, but there is. Besides the power of prayer you can take a blogging day of silence. Some really great bloggers thought this up and I hope you decide to participate.

On Tuesday, December 18th, there will be a blogger day of silence. We will post the button and that's it. Please try to not post anything else that day if possible.

We are also raising money that will go to an organization in the memory of this tragedy. The organization is called The Newtown Family Youth and Family Services.

Here is the official description of the support service we are donating to:

"Newtown Youth and Family Services, Inc. is a licensed, non-profit, mental health clinic
and youth services bureau dedicated to helping children and families achieve their
highest potential. NYFS provides programs, services, activities, counseling, support
groups and education throughout the Greater Newtown area.

Please visit THIS PAGE to make your donation.

We can't imagine how they must be feeling, especially this close to the holidays. We would love for you to spread the word on your own blog, Facebook, Twitter, etc. Let's make a difference and use blogging in a positive way.

Thank you in advance for participating.
