A couple weeks ago we went to my sisters house to celebrate her birthday. The lives off a dirt road in BFE (let's just call it the country for those of you who don't get the acronym). Anyways- her house is surrounded by corn fields- Children of the Corn, anyone? It's quite scurrryy when you're there alone but I love it.. it's so country.. so away from everything else.. and best of all? So picturesque! Which is why I forced half the people there to have an impromptu photo shoot on the kids tire swing. They secretly loved it.. I mean, look how cute these pictures are!

I love NFL. Love, love, love it. I am that girl that will skip whatever the heck is going on if the Panthers are playing on Sunday. Don't laugh- I know we totally suck this year.. and last year.. anddd let's face it, most of the time. But it's SO fun and I refuse to give up on them! My best friends dad actually works for the Panthers so we get numerous opportunities to go to games (and have BANGIN' seats with the big shots)! John is amazing and invites us whenever he can and we absolutely love him for that. Here are some pictures from one of the most recent games.
Players Lot.. we get to park here and the cars are NUTS! My little Honda- Cindy Civic- fits in so well here! It doesn't help that we tailgate on coolers when everyone else is struttin around on golf carts and 6 inch heels.

Disney on Ice & Tweetsie Railroad
Last week my mama, sister, and two neices went to Disney on Ice. I didn't get many pictures because my camera was not cooperating with the lights but take my word when I say it was the bomb-diggity. I actually think I enjoyed it more than my neices. I'm ashamed to admit it but since it was opening night there were many falls which was HAA-larious! Picture this, the giant pink bear from Toy Story 3 completely face planting and rolling around unable to get up. Yeah, I'm mean, whatever.
This past weekend we took my neices to Tweetsie Railroad! It's in the NC mountains near Boone and it was so fun! We were going to go to the state fair but after all the e-coli breakouts we were like helllll to the no! Tweetsie it was! There was a petting zoo, we road the train which has an indian and cowboy act, then we got to ride up the mountain on a lift to ride some rides!

Last Sunday Andrew surprised me with a dinner cruise on Lake Norman
because he was a huge jerk the previous weekend and had to woo me so I would love him again. It was a beautiful chilly fall night and the food was delicious. Delicious as in I literally had an entire chicken to myself that I wish I could have devoured but let's face it- Halloween is in a week and this gal ain't trying to dress up as MooMoo the cow. We really enjoyed swooning over the multi-million dollar houses we will never be able to afford. Some people surely aren't feelin' the achin economy. We really needed the quality time together. It's pretty nice to be wined and dined sans phones and television. I highly recommend doing this if you are given the opportunity.

Y'all ever heard of Restuarant Week? It's pretty much the coolest thing ever that leads you to believe you are saving all this money but really you ended up empting your wallet regardless. It's still pretty awesome none the less. Is nonetheless one word? Hypenated? None-the-less? Back to restaurant week.. Andrew so kindly helped me pet sit for a couple pups the week before. Please note that by 'helping' I mean he laid on the couch and watched tv while I cleaned up disgusting dog puke and tried to make sure we gave them their 87623 meds at the exact time we were supposed to... but that's neither here nor there..) I wanted to say thank you to him for not leaving me alone at the house all week so I got us a pass to Charlotte Restaurant week. It's basically a 'deal' where you pay a certain amount a person and get a "feast".
I decided to take him to Brazz, which is a Brazilian meat house carvery type deal. They bring like 10 different meats by your table and carve it right in your plate. I'm not a big meat eater. I'll eat chicken nuggets and hot dogs but my pallet just ain't too sophisticated (kind of like my grammer, eh?). I can't help it- I just don't like it and I prefer to eat like a toddler. Well, I knew he would feel appreciated if I went way out of my comfort zone and ate pretty much nothing but meat all night. Guess what? I loved it. Would I want to do it all the time, no freaking way. But this meat was good. I guess you pay for what you get.
Anybody else wish a photographer followed them around so you don't end up with pictures like above (arm out, no background) or like below (I set my camera with self timer on a trash can).

Delicious food, cool summer weather, and a handsome boy-- doesn't get much better.

Today is my 24th birthday! As most of you probably have seen, I have been playing catch up lately on the blog-- 7 months worth of catch up! Last week and this week will cover those months.. to the best of my ability at least. So, after that I will have a birthday weekend recap! I am so happy to be back to blogging. I forgot how happy it made me! But you know, sometimes life just happens and you start a new job that takes it all out of you and blogging falls to the side. That's ok! I don't feel guilty but I am so beyond happy to be back! I actually get excited about blogging again. And while I followed all of you for the past 7 months, I stopped commenting, I lost relationships with you girls that used to bring a smile to my face. I miss it.. and I'm ready to be back in action!
So while this is my birthday, I would like to celebrate y'all. Cheers to being back and joining my favorite part of the world wide web again! My, oh my, have I missed it! :)

Over the summer we had a mother-daughter-cousin-friend weekend at the beach! You see, half of my family does hair-- well, probably over half. I'm kind of the odd ball out in the sense that I am not a hair dresser. Why not follow in the footsteps of the fam? Well, for one- I go to sleep with my hair wet and throw it in a pony the next morning proooobably 3-4 times a week. I hate doing even my own hair so why would I want my fingers all up in somebody elses nappy head? I mean I don't know their business.. who knows what they got growin.
Anyways- every year my family does an annual girls beach trip where they go to good ol' Dirty Myrtle (Myrtle Beach for those of you not familiar) for a hair show. Really, that's just an excuse to go to the beach and get a little craycray away from the men but hey- whatever. This year I decided to go! Give me a beach, some fruity drinks, and an outlet mail and I'm game no matter the plan! It kind of helped that the girls only went to one class the whole weekend but shhh I won't tell if you dont!
Next year we're thinkin about going to the hair show in Vegas! You best believe I'll be there, even if I have to play in the casino all day while they are at the hair show. I'll try not to pout too much.. pshhh what a joke.. can somebody say- most fun ever! It will be like an annual bachelorette trip to Sin City.. BEST. IDEA. EVER.
