The Story of Us

With Valentines Day right around the corner, I finally decided to link up with From Mrs to Mama and share mine and Andrews love story!

1. How long have you and your significant other been together?
It will be two years in June

2. How did you meet? {What's your "love" story?}
If you asked us separately you would get two totally different answers as this has been a debate between us for a while now. But- we met through a mutual friend, one that I grew up with, and Drew ended up going to high school with. Later in life, I was home visiting from college over winter break and went to see said friends new apartment.. well guess who he was living with? Andrew! So we met then.. but it wasn't until the next summer when I was home again on break that we really started hanging out. We went out as a group many, many times before we even decided we had a thing for each other.. we didn't see it coming from a mile away. But when we knew, we knew- I think we said 'I love you' within weeks!
3. If married, how long have you been married? If not, is this the guy you hope to marry? {do tell}
We aren't married- and we will see :) I can't see myself happier with anyone else, but like all things- only time will tell.

4. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding?  If not, where would you like to get married? And will it be big or small?
If Andrew and I do get married, it will probably be rather large- we both have really big families and would want to include all of them. And I have my heart set on a church wedding and barn reception.

5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Do share!
Oh goodness.. we have a million. Honey, baby, the usual.. and then we call each other lots of silly names like booboo monkey head and whatever other weird words we combine into a sentence. Okay- maybe just I do that.

6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.
1. I love that he has a relationship with God.. that is hard to find these days and not only does he have a personal relationship with him- he is so knowledgeable about the Bible and I feel like I have already learned so much from him.
2. He is very driven. He is a hard worker and he never does anything half way. He has been taking care of himself since he turned 18 and I really look up to him for that considering mommy and daddy are still taking care of all my bills.
3. He has such a kind heart and I love how much he loves me. I have never been with someone where you can just tell by his actions, his words, and the way he looks at me that he truly cares about me and that is such a wonderful feeling. To love and be loved in return is so beautiful.
7. Tell us how he proposed? Or your ideal proposal?
I haven't thought much about this. I do know two things though- I want it personal and not the typical in a restaurant thing- I don't know those people and don't want them 'in' on such a special moment. And two- I want my family and close friends there afterwards.

8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberrieschampagne, and rose petals?
Mmm he is more like a sweet card guy. He writes the most heart felt cards for me for every occasion.

9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?
I enjoy going out to dinner every once and a while but I am definitely a stay at home and cuddle on the couch kind of girl.

10. Tell us one thing you'd like to do with your significant one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere?
I would love to go to some place like Thailand to ride elephants, get a taste of the culture, and get to be away from all technology and worries.

11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine's Day.
We both work fairly long days so I am guessing just dinner and movie, if even that, is on our agenda. This weekend we are spending the night in Asheville to go to the Biltmore house though!

12. Are you asking for anything this Valentine's day?
Nope! We set a budget though since we are both saving money but it will be a complete.

13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love.
Communicate & Compromise.
Always kiss like you mean it and say I love you as much as possible.

14.  Show us a picture of what love means to you.
