[or two hours of it]
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving.. I hope you did as well!
Unfortunately, I only took pictures the first two hours of it while we were visiting our first of three spots.
We went to my mawmaw's house for Thanksgiving lunch. It was delicious and I had a great time visiting with my dads side of the family, which I rarely have the opportunity to see. After that, we drove to my nana and papa's, my mama's parents. I am extremely close to most of these cousins so it was a great time with TONS of yummy Thanksgiving food. I really wish I would have taken pictures of this spread.. it was literally enough to feed an army (which with 32 people there, we basically are the size of an army). After my nana's we traveled to Andrew's familys Thanksgiving dinner. We couldn't even eat much there but it was really nice to see his family as well. I, of course, snuck in a piece of his granny's delicious sweet potato pie.
In all honesty, I we spent the day racing the tv. We tried to get from one place to another between all the NFL games or their half times only to re-stuff our faces.
Last year, we stuffed our face at every single place and by 6pm we were in a turkey coma and could barely move. This year we did a little better at pacing ourselves and were able to converse and be happy at our last stop. With time we are either going to get extremely good at this or just have to learn to say 'no' every now and then. As family oriented as we both are, I think we are just going to have to learn to embrace the extra 10lbs every Thanksgiving.
Here are pictures from my mawmaw's.. mainly of my little nieces.
They are such cute little love bugs!
Am I wearing a cute poncho or a stylish potato sack?
I am still not sure about this wardrobe choice.
Whatever, it allowed extra room for my growing belly.
I am truly blessed to have such wonderful people in my life.
I hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
Now it's time to get amped for Christmas!
