My sweet little niece Kylie got a new belt in Tae Kwon Do this past weekend. Let me tell you, she is a very lucky girl because she had the biggest support system there! Her mom (my sister), her dad, her pawpaw and nanny (my mama & step dad) and her favorite aunt (me!) were all there to cheer her on. This was so touching to see because a few weeks ago she was thinking about quitting. I am so glad she didn't because she is doing so well. This past Saturday she got her camouflage belt! Who even knew there was a such thing? Only in the south! :) It's a step up from a yellow belt. All those different colors can get really confusing but I tried to keep up!
Here is Kylie with her pawpaw, nanny, and me :)

Here is Kylie, waiting for the graduation of belts (or whatever it is called) to begin.
Here is my sister (1/2) tying her new belt on.
[Normally- the mom half ties it, the dad finishes it, then they both pull it tight. It is actually very touching and an extremely special moment for the kids and everyone watching.]
I may or may not have teared up a little bit. I also teared up a little bit when this random little girl I had never seen in my life got her black belt.. heaven help us when I have a kid of my own! I am going to have to carry tissues and a camera everywhere!
They pulled tight!
Now, she is officially a camo belt!
I am so proud of my little Ky! She is the sweetest little girl and I love to see her accomplish her dreams and enjoy something like this. Tae Kwon Do teaches the kids so much about discipline, respect, and not to mention, how to kick a little butt. My mom and I were so impressed that we even joked about joining their weapons team! This little 10-12 year old boy was so awesome with a metal chain that he seriously could have killed everyone in the room in a blink of an eye. Okay, maybe that's an exaggeration, but it was awesome.
I LOVE YOU AND AM SO PROUD OF YOU KY! :)
(sometimes she gets online and reads my blog! cutie!)
