"Don't Ever Apologize For Being Patriotic!"

That's what Toby Keith said right before he walked off stage at Friday nights concert.
How true are those words? We should never ever apologize for loving our country and making it known to anyone that will listen, and even to those who won't.

You know what else you should never apologize for?
I completely embraced my southern roots for the Toby Keith/Eric Church concert.
My oldest and dirtiest pair of cowboy boots.. check!
Flannel button up.. check!
Camo baseball cap.. check!

We had so much fun at the concert. I have always been a big fan of Toby Keith, for his music and for his love for the United States. He is always so patriotic. For his encore he brought a navy seal out on the stage and sang "Courtesy of the Red, White, and Blue."
It was wonderful. Everyone was so hyped up and singing at the top of the lungs and just full out loving America, and each other.

Eric Church was pretty amazing too. It was the first time I had seen him in concert and he DEFINITELY didn't let me down. I knew from listening to the radio earlier in the week that he had his very first baby born on Monday, a little boy the new parents named Boone. So it almost brought tears to my eyes when people started holding up signs saying "Welcome home baby Boone" and "Congrats Eric on new baby".
So cute.

Another thing you should never apologize for?
Being Christian and loving the heck out of our God.
I am so beyond blessed.
I couldn't have asked for a better group to enjoy the concert with.
My mom and step dad were there, I always love spending time with them.
My mom's best friend Anita and her two daughters were there. We always have a fun time with them and I love seeing how happy my mom is when she gets around Anita. You know that saying "God made them best friends because he knew their moms couldn't handle them as sisters"? That's totally my mom and Anita.
And of course, Andrew was there. He was a little hesitant about going to a country concert (not a big fan) but he had just as much fun as the rest of us crazy kids.

Here are some pics from the concert. They are all taken on cell phones so, I apologize. Also, there's none of the actual concert because all you would be able to see is some bright lights so why not just showcase a bunch of tipsy rednecks for yall instead?

That's my mom yall!
Man, I love that woman!

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend... is it Friday yet??? ;)

  1. My dad is definitely patriotic and he will make sure you know it! "Made in America" is a perfect description of him, minus the fact that he never joined the military. :)

  2. I am glad you had so much fun @ the concert:) It looks like you had a great time that is for sure!Loving the title super cute & completely agree...

  3. I love going to concerts (esp country ones!) Any reason to wear cowboy boots and I'm there!

I love to hear from my readers!
